Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Burger Patties: In a large bowl, combine the ground beef with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika. Mix gently to combine, being careful not to overwork the meat. Form the mixture into patties, about 1/2 inch thick. Make a slight indentation in the center of each patty to prevent it from puffing up during cooking.
  2. Cook the Patties: Preheat your grill or skillet to medium-high heat. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired level of doneness. If adding cheese, place a slice on each patty during the last minute of cooking, covering the grill or skillet to melt the cheese.
  3. Prepare the Toppings and Condiments: Arrange all toppings and condiments in separate bowls or plates for easy access. Slice tomatoes, lettuce, onions, and other vegetables. Cook bacon until crispy and drain on paper towels. Sauté mushrooms and caramelize onions if using.
  4. Toast the Buns: Slice the Ace Bakery Sesame and Classic Gourmet buns. Lightly toast the buns on the grill or in a skillet until golden brown.
  5. Set Up the Burger Bar: Place the cooked patties on a serving platter. Arrange the toasted buns in a basket or on a large plate. Set out all toppings, condiments, and extras in a buffet-style layout. Include serving utensils for each topping and condiment.
  6. Assemble Your Burger: Invite guests to build their own burgers by selecting their preferred bun, patty, and toppings.
  7. Serve and Enjoy: Offer a variety of sides like potato chips and pickle spears. Provide plates, napkins, and utensils for a complete dining experience. This setup allows everyone to customize their burger to their liking, making it a fun and interactive meal for gatherings or casual dinners. Enjoy!
