Sheet Pan Pesto Turkey Melts

  • 16 slices of ACE Bakery® Sliced Sourdough Bistro
  • Butter, for greasing
  • Pesto (store bought or homemade)
  • Provolone cheese slices
  • Sliced turkey
  • Sliced pepperoncinis
  • Fresh spinach leaves
  • Havarti cheese slices
  • Parmesan cheese (for sprinkling)
  • Fresh thyme (for sprinkling) 

To Make 

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F. Grease a standard half sheet pan (8×13 inches) with butter. 
  2. Place 8 slices of ACE Bakery® Sliced Sourdough Bistro bread on the sheet pan. 
  3. Spread pesto on bread, then layer provolone, turkey, pepperoncinis, spinach, and havarti cheese. 
  4. Top with remaining bread slices and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese and thyme. 
  5. Cover sandwiches with another baking sheet and a heavy skillet to weigh it down (this is optional, but helps the cheese to melt and the bread extra crispy and golden) 
  6. Bake for 10 minutes, then remove the top sheet pan and bake for another 15-20 min or until cheese melts and bread is golden brown. 
  7. Slice and serve hot! YUM!
