Ingredients:
- 16 slices of ACE Bakery® Sliced Sourdough Bistro
- Butter, for greasing
- Pesto (store bought or homemade)
- Provolone cheese slices
- Sliced turkey
- Sliced pepperoncinis
- Fresh spinach leaves
- Havarti cheese slices
- Parmesan cheese (for sprinkling)
- Fresh thyme (for sprinkling)
To Make
- Preheat oven to 400°F. Grease a standard half sheet pan (8×13 inches) with butter.
- Place 8 slices of ACE Bakery® Sliced Sourdough Bistro bread on the sheet pan.
- Spread pesto on bread, then layer provolone, turkey, pepperoncinis, spinach, and havarti cheese.
- Top with remaining bread slices and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese and thyme.
- Cover sandwiches with another baking sheet and a heavy skillet to weigh it down (this is optional, but helps the cheese to melt and the bread extra crispy and golden)
- Bake for 10 minutes, then remove the top sheet pan and bake for another 15-20 min or until cheese melts and bread is golden brown.
