Air Fryer Chicken Parmesan Sandwich

on ACE Bakery® Ciabatta Piccola Rolls (Serves 2)

Indulge in crispy perfection with our Air Fryer Chicken Parmesan Sandwich, nestled between ACE Bakery® Ciabatta Piccola Rolls. This mouthwatering recipe brings together tender chicken cutlets coated in a savory marinara sauce, topped with melted mozzarella cheese, all nestled within the warmth of freshly baked ciabatta. It’s a satisfying twist on a classic favorite, ready to elevate your lunch or dinner with every delicious bite!

Ingredients: 

  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken cutlets
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 2 large eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup shredded Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 6-8 slices fresh mozzarella cheese
  • 2 ACE Bakery® Ciabatta Piccola rolls, sliced in half 

To Make 

  1. Preheat your air fryer to 375°F 
  2. Season chicken breasts with salt and pepper. 
  3. Set up a dipping station: In one bowl, place flour and Italian seasoning. In another, beat eggs. In a third bowl, mix panko breadcrumbs with Parmesan cheese. 
  4. Dredge each chicken breast in flour mixture, dip into the beaten eggs, and coat with breadcrumbs mixture, ensuring an even coating. 
  5. Place breaded chicken breasts in the preheated air fryer. Cook for 15-18 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and cooked through. 
  6. While the chicken is cooking, split the ACE Bakery® Ciabatta Piccola rolls. 
  7. Once the chicken is cooked, place it onto a roll, spread marinara sauce on each piece, add a chicken breast, and top with shredded mozzarella. 
  8. Return the sandwiches to the air fryer for an additional 2-3 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly. 
  9. Carefully remove the sandwiches from the air fryer and enjoy!!
